PfO fans should be glad to hear that principal filming of This Is Not the Autobahn has been completed. Now begins the daunting task of editing the massive pile of footage we acquired. This latest project should be an interesting diversion from the mockumentary-style films we usually stick to. Keep an eye out for some teaser trailers coming your way soon and hopefully soon thereafter the first episode of the series.

While members of the Plucked from Obscurity team work our way through the hours of tape we will also be gearing up for a new venture, the 48-Hour Film Project. This festival/competition takes place in cites all over the United States, you can learn more about it here: http://www.48hourfilm.com/.

The basics are this: each team is given a genre, a character, a prop, and a line of dialogue that they must use in a 4-7 minute film that must be completed within a 48 hour period. This will be Plucked from Obscurity’s first attempt at entering a film in any sort of festival or contest so wish us luck, and if you are in the Des Moines Area the screening will take place on August 3 at Fleur Cinema at 7:00 and 9:30 pm.
